Seriously, when do we abolish borders, visas and passports?

Fuck this nation-state shit that divides us and slows down the world's economy. It's time to demand Freedom of Movement for everyone on this planet.

Sorry for getting so political, folks. I'm venting out the frustration of not being able to stop in Moscow for 2 days in January because there was no time to get a tourist visa in the US, and I need my passport to go back to Italy for Christmas.

We waste too much time, money and opportunities on getting visas. Every country has unique, anachronistic paperwork and slow processes that involve holding your passport for days or weeks.

I sometimes wonder how travel was like before passports. According to Wikipedia:
