Microsoft is a vanguard for open source.
Except that they’ve steamrolled an active community project with the same name and mission. They own a search engine - no one could search and check if the name was in use or even contribute to the project?
prediction: the next windows will literally just run on linux kernel with a proprietary microsoft frontend/userland, basically what apple did to BSD
It's funny, I logged into the fediverse to rant a bit about Python's asyncio. And I performed a little search for the keyword and see that @ashwinvis already ranted about it a while back, with essentially the same critique. I'm having a Déjà vu! Ashwin is always one step ahead of me!

This is worth our time to consider!" https://nitter.snopyta.org/e_Sundell/status/1258480859348336642
Depletion of the #OzoneLayer, the shield that protects life on Earth from harmful levels of ultraviolet radiation, reached an unprecedented level over large parts of the Arctic this spring. This phenomenon was caused by the continuing presence of ozone-depleting substances in the atmosphere and a very cold winter in the stratosphere (the layer of the atmosphere between around 10 km and round 50 km altitude).
