@liw got a couple folks on Twitter criticizing Inkscape's move to Gitlab because "Github is the home of open source."

@ted People are weird about github. (Well, people are weird in general.)

Github isn't even particularly old as a service, it feels to me. Git itself is young.

For many people Open Source is simply: "Jeez, there sure are a lot of Go libraries."

@liw I recently listened to a video taped talk by a prominent Haskeller where he said he doesn't take projects not on GitHub seriously and that he thought the project was unlikely to get attention! I just rolled my eyes and closed the tab.
