@dl @cwebber I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you're referring to as Chrome, is in fact, Chrome/Chrome, or as I've recently taken to calling it, Chrome plus Chrome. Chrome is not an operating system unto itself, but rather another free component of a fully functioning Chrome system made useful by the Chrome corelibs, browser utilities and vital browser components comprising a full OS as defined by Chrome.
(yes I know it uses linux as a kernel but this is funnier)
And up on 3.5.2!
@werekat Hey, haven't seen you around in a while, and just checking in and wonder how you're coping, feel free to ignore if fedi is a burden.
Looking back, the 1990s-2000s were a weird anomaly in capitalism, where it felt like the old familiar 1980s cyberpunk fiction scenario of "a few billionaires will literally control the entire planet's Data Network" couldn't possibly happen because we'd managed to decentralise it all, only just in the nick of time, because first IBM and then Microsoft had been trying to slam the door shut. But the hackers had finally won and for good, with TCP/IP, HTTP and Open Source.
Those were good years.
Everyone who's following the news has already heard about Mariupol. Briefly: test drive of a chemical attack.
So I'm going to post Tais's schedule for her art streams, when she's going to collect money that goes to getting people out of Mariupol.
Streams this week are Tuesday 15:00-17:00 Kyiv time (this means the stream starts 14:00 CET or 13:00 UTC) and the same on Thursday.
Come watch Tais draw and help her save people from her home city.
